Adding Vehicles in GTA San Andreas Without Replacing :-

Before starting to add vehicles in San Andreas, you need to install a small tool that will allow you to get some usable ID's that you can assign your added vehicles. Install the Fastman 92's Free ID's List generator mod. Also, you'll need to have Cleo Library installed to use this Mod, so install Cleo Library as well before proceeding.

Once Again, before adding vehicles in-game, make a Backup of some of the important game files of the GTA San Andreas > Data folder listed below.

  1. vehicles.ide file

  2. handling.cfg file

  3. carcols.dat file

  4. carmods.dat file

  5. cargrp.dat file

If you've made backup of these files, you can always put these file back to avoid damge to your game.

STEP - 1 :-

The first step would be to add the model (dff) and texture (txd) of the vehicle (Plane, Helicopter, Car, Bike or Boat anything) inside the gta3.img file of GTA San Andreas. This file is always present inside the "Models" Folder.

For this step, you can use TXD Workshop or any IMG Tool.

STEP - 2 :-

Open the vehicles.ide file using any text editor like Notepad and then scroll down to the bottom of the file at 611 see below:-

611, utiltr1, utiltr1, trailer,	UTIL_TR1, UTILTR1, null,	ignore, 4,	0,	0, -1, 0.68, 0.68, -1
end

Now choose from the free id's text document any free id or a Range of Free Id's and use that number to add as the new Id number of the new vehicle you will add. Also, define the Model and Texture name similar to the name of the vehicles Model and texture file that you've added in the gta3.img file.

After specifying the model and texture names the newly added vehicle's name should look like this.

611, utiltr1, utiltr1, trailer,	UTIL_TR1, UTILTR1, null,	ignore, 4,	0,	0, -1, 0.68, 0.68, -1
*newidnumber, *newmodelname, *newtexturename, car,	*newhandlingidname, *newgxtidname, null,	poorfamily, 4,	0,	0, -1, 0.68, 0.68, -1
end
